I need a game thats hard or has a hard option, and also it would be best if there were real animations not just still images.

Black Souls is generally seen as pretty difficult, but it doesn't require you to grind or hit RNG jackpots. It doesn't have animation though.

The Hero's Trial.
Even on normal it is challenging at the start. On hard mode it gets ... well, the game's sexual theme is humiliating the male player character, and you may wonder how far they took this.
(but no animation, no story, no characters, nothing but the game/ puzzle part)
also no animations, but difficulty galore: Daibanchou
I don't believe anyone ever 100%-ed it without outside help.
also, for folks like me: almost any sidescroller.
