| Damn, getting trapped by some strange device sucks. In-universe plot almost made this look like a test for the others to get out. Also got to see Anna take on the Rubix Cube challenge. I'm impressed tbh. She's improved herself so much in these recent episodes. |

| Alright, the "fake" ending got me, I thought it was going to be a cliffhanger episode. Sasuga Grace-sama! task failed successfully.  |

| Grace proving ones again she is the best character in this anime. It was nice seeing her solve all these puzzles and riddles. And she earned more points ones again. |
| Weekly dose of Grace! We’ve got our summer uniforms this week aw everyone looks so good! Otome shows having the group overcome trials together aren’t new, but never seen a Rubik’s cube used before lol. This was great. Pretty cool to see the sphinx riddle in here. I’m such a history nerd so I started pointing at the screen “I get that reference” 😂 of course the way to solve it is a sentai pose. Tensei Ojisan and Red Ranger isekai collab WHEN!? The ice lens puzzle felt like I was watching an AC game puzzle being solved and brought back memories lol. We are definitely not letting Richard sing anymore, jeez. This was the closest thing we’ve come to this world having karaoke! We needed a full scene of Grace singing galaxy express 999 tho. That mid episode ED was awesome Of course Grace set Anna up perfectly for the win and intimacy boost with the boys just for it to totally backfire on her and make everyone like her even more 😂 she is never beating the MC allegations and we love her for it lmao. Such a fun and chill episode as usual. I love this cast sm. |

| An entertaining episode, although I would have liked the quiz to have accepted the Rubik's cube solving cheat - personally, it's the only way I can complete it. The reference to Galaxy Express 999 was really unexpected. Instead of the usual ending, this time they gave us something really cool 😅. |

| Pretty fun episode of the gang solving trials together, some of which were simpler than others, but I liked the collaborative effort all of them had, made for some good moments between the cast like Lambert taking one for the team in the all fours position, and of course Grace/Kenzaburou singing Galaxy Express 999, I guess I’m uncultured this time around because I don’t think I’ve ever heard it before, but I did really like both renditions of it, what little we did hear of Grace singing was beautiful, and Kenzaburou knocked it out of the park as what looked like the end credits for a season finale played lol. And personally I’ve never been able to wrap my head around a Rubik’s Cube, but Anna solving it legit after cheating didn’t work was pretty cool, cute anime girl figured it out quicker than I could in 20 years lol. And there was one cool thing regarding the overarching plot when Kenzaburou was sus of Orion taking apart the cube, he very nearly caught on that Hinako has a hand in this but he didn’t quite figure it out, hopefully before the show is over he will. |

| Hilarious episode. The voice actress for Grace has got a really pretty voice though, when Grace started singing, couldn't believe that was actually her, due to how good it was. That ending was hilarious though, no matter what anyone does, they always just admire Grace in the end, with her completely confused as to how it ended up this way. That reveal at the next episode preview was also hilarious, which was that Lucas was that little traveler that actually just danced, without helping at all at the trials. Hilarious show, excited to see how this one would conclude, or who would end up with who eventually. |

| Anyone else instantly recognize the 1/8-turn position that allows you to easily remove one of the edge pieces and proceed to disassemble the whole thing? Pretty sure I first heard that riddle of the Sphinx in Monmusu Quest... Strange place to discover it? Lastly, wow... Everyone's just wrong here for not giving Anna more of the credit for solving that cube. I've only solved 2/3 of it before. One side at a time is easy. Getting the last side is the most complicated. Anna's a genius to have solved it on her first attempt. |
| It was another entertaining episode with everyone getting trapped in a cube like device and doing puzzles due to the second princes mischief. It's no surprise that yet again everyone far ever harder for dad. And Anna really is a protagonist in all sense, as she solved the Rubik’s Cube in her first try after seeing Grace do only the sides few times. |

| The Labyrinth of Trials wasn't prepared for Kenzaburo's skill with riddles! This rubix cube themed episode was very amusing. The galaxy express 999 theme getting performed by the cast filled me with nostalgia I didn't even know I possessed. Loved it! |

| Man, I'd have gotten a big fanboy pop out of that Galaxy Express 999 bit if I ever actually bothered with that series. Maybe I should watch it someday. I was aware it existed, but it didn't hit with me the way the Father/Son Kamehameha did from a few episodes back. I was missing my weekly dose of Matsuken Samba if I'm being honest lol. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

I think I'm gonna check out Ginga Tetsudou 999 soon, since it seems to be more of what I like versus what I didn't like in Uchuu Kaizoku Captain Herlock. Who would've thought an isekai anime would be what makes me watch that anime? 🤞 EDIT2: The TV series was eh, but the movie adaptation (where the fakeout ED is from)? Cinema. Literally the first time I enjoyed a space drama. Absolute cinema. 10/10. |

| ROFL @ the dad singing the 999 space train song. (then it goes to the male casts singing it as a end credit, lol) Also a note, Karaoke is mainly just popular in the East. The West... doesn't really have that culture, most people in the West doesn't go to Karaoke frequently, most of the Western people (that do sing) tend to just stay at home and sing with their TV. (this is why Japanese and Chinese people tends to be a lot better in singing and the main voice for nearly all Gacha games, even ones from CN and EN, are Japan by default, cause Japan can voice act and sing better) . Anyways... they tried to cheat, and the Dad almost figure out the cube. But it ends up with Anna solving it. However.. somehow the Dad still end up getting all the affection points... LOL |

| Anna and Grace witnessing the princes all being taken away by a Rubik's Cube contraption, but not even they could've imagined that their world is manipulated by the fact that such a simple and resolvable puzzle would trigger what's known as the Labyrinth of Trials. The first puzzle being a bath, though this would normally require two people with different attributes to solve, Grace instead solved it on the first try, not realizing that this is also another area for Anna to further her love interests this way, which she gives way for the remainder. For every riddle comes a random love interest, and the references from the Riddle of the Sphinx, the North Wind and the Sun, plus Richard's horrible singing that gives way to the Galaxy Express 999's ED song (which is a great fake-out of an ED) are great. But ultimately, it's the final puzzle that Hinako cracked Orion to jumble it, that gives Anna the chance to crack the code, thus bringing everyone safely back to reality. Too bad that everyone's intimacy got boosted too much towards Grace lols. But yes, what a way to reinvent something like a Rubik's Cube to bonus content and make it good. |

The TV version feels like a good idea tied down by a slop of the week format, while the movie just feels right, like it was always meant to be a movie. Even if you hated the TV series (I would've likely had a lower opinion of it if I hadn't dropped it sooner), the movie is perfect. You won't regret giving it a try in lieu of the TV ver. |
